Running to the grocery store. Going to school. Celebrating with friends and friends at a parade. Attending a concert. Walking down the street.
We all should feel safe in the spaces we occupy without the fear of gun violence. And yet, from Buffalo to Uvalde to Highland Park, we continue to lose countless lives from tragic mass shootings and acts of gun violence that often don’t make the headlines.
Tackling the gun violence epidemic requires bold leadership. That’s why we’re proud that every single one of our 2022 Sister District candidates has pledged to fight for gun safety legislation. But for that to happen, we need to power these progressive champions to victory in November.

Gun violence isn’t inevitable. So much of it can be traced back to the fact that Republicans at the state level have worked hand-in-hand with the gun lobby to weaken gun laws for decades. But if we win in state legislatures, we can fight back and finally pass meaningful gun safety legislation that will save lives.
We’re supporting candidates who are ready to fight for common-sense gun reform — from passing background checks in Arizona to creating red flag laws in Pennsylvania and preventing straw man purchases in North Carolina, to name a few.
Electing these leaders and building progressive power in state legislatures this year is critical to stopping gun violence, and we’re counting on your help to organize and win. Contribute to support this crucial work today.
In solidarity,
Lyzz and the Sister District Team
