1. Progressive women of color across the country, including Rashida Tlaib in Michigan, have faced millions of dollars in last-minute outside spending in their primaries from super PACs who’d rather see conservative Democrats in power. Ilhan could be their next target as we get down to the wire.


2. On Friday, the FEC will make last quarter’s federal fundraising totals public — and if our opponent outraises us for the second quarter in a row, the super PACs we mentioned will undoubtedly see it as an opportunity to flood Minnesota’s Fifth District with millions of dollars in attack ads to try to undermine our movement and unseat Ilhan.


3. We’ve proven before that organized people beat organized money, and we can win again with a robust organizing operation. But it will take a steady stream of grassroots support to power our door-knocking efforts, phone banking, yard sign distribution, and online ads to get out our people-first message and defeat the status quo.
