Election Day is just one week away on Tuesday, July 19! Right now, early voting is underway in our state through this Thursday, July 14 at 8:00 p.m., and voters can go to any of their county's early voting locations to cast their ballots.
This election year is a critical one for Maryland, and I've been proud to support candidates I believe will put you and your family first. I am glad to endorse Wes Moore for our next Governor, Brooke Lierman for our next Comptroller, and my colleague Anthony Brown as Maryland's next Attorney General.
With Election Day quickly approaching, I strongly urge Marylanders to take advantage of early voting or send back your mail-in ballots if you requested them. Today is the last day to register for a mail-in ballot if you want it to be mailed to you. You have until Friday, July 15, to request a mail in ballot via mail. If you plan to vote by mail, request your ballot here.
Every eligible household in Maryland has the opportunity to vote in this year's primary by mail as long as they request a ballot ahead of time. All mail-in ballots must be postmarked no later than July 19 to be counted.
As ballots continue to arrive, be sure to check your mailbox over the next few days to make sure you have received your ballot. Voting by mail is very easy - just fill out your ballot, sign the envelope, and drop it in the mail or at designated drop box locations. Postage is pre-paid for ballots received by mail, so you don't need to add a stamp.
If you have requested a mail in ballot and did not receive it, please call your local board of elections and they will send one to you.
