I have some exciting news to share! Our Democratic National Committee Chair, Jaime Harrison, will be speaking on Friday at our 2022 Texas Democratic Convention.

Friend, Texas is at the heart of our nationwide Democratic movement. We’ve been on the frontlines of the fight for voting rights, abortion access, gun safety, and more. Jaime knows this better than anyone, and I’m so excited for him to speak to thousands of dedicated Democrats on Friday.

While Jaime will be joining an incredible lineup of speakers, there’s more to our Convention than what’s happening on the main stage. With so many active and engaged Democrats under one roof, we want to give these local leaders the tools they need to bring our Democratic movement back to their communities.

That’s why on Thursday, we’re hosting a massive training with the National Democratic Training Committee to help hundreds of Texas Democrats organize and build power in their neighborhoods.

Friend, activating a groundswell of Democratic support come Election Day isn’t going to be easy. But luckily, our numbers are strong and growing, and we’re ready to roll up our sleeves and get to work. And that starts right here in Dallas this weekend. Walking through the Dallas Convention center today -- finalizing all of the last details and envisioning thousands of friendly faces walking these halls in just two days -- I feel hopeful for the first time in a while. With everything our state and our country have faced in the last few months, this Convention couldn’t come at a better time.

We’re here to commiserate, to celebrate, to honor, and to cheer. But most importantly, we’re here to get to work.
