My team is running a campaign that is powered with grassroots momentum and focused on having conversations with voters across the Third District.
That’s why I’ve spent the last few weeks connecting with our community members, small businesses, and families across the region on our District Tour.
Relationship building is how we’ll win this race against our opponent’s dark money-fueled attack ads. But we don’t have long to build it up, especially as Adkins is laying the groundwork for a total abortion ban statewide and the first step is an August 2 ballot measure.
Here’s my team’s original message for context:
Team,
We are just days away from Kansans voting on a ballot initiative that would pave the way for anti-abortion laws statewide. Our opponent is a major supporter of this effort and is ready to ban abortions, even in cases of rape and incest.
With so much at stake in this post-Roe v. Wade world, headlines like this one couldn’t be truer:
KS-03 deserves proven, unapologetic leadership that champions abortion access. Sharice is that candidate, but we have to get ready right now for August’s big ballot measure and our emboldened anti-abortion opponent.
Listen: With Roe overturned, Kansas is now a battleground for abortion rights.
Amanda Adkins and her team of Brownback Republicans are fighting hard to reverse decades of progress — and with her support of the ballot initiative that will start Kansas on the path to a total abortion ban, we can’t back down now.
In order to protect abortion access, we must share our vision for progress far and wide and reach as many voters as possible in the coming weeks until August 2nd’s election.
