Glenn isn’t a public servant. He’s a private equity multi-millionaire with no intention to help Virginians.

Team,

If there’s one thing we know, it’s that Glenn Youngkin is not a public servant. A radical anti-abortion GOP puppet? Yes. A self-interested private equity multi-millionaire? Most definitely. But a public servant who knows the law? Absolutely not.

In an interview this weekend, Glenn Youngkin was asked if he would take steps to codify marriage equality in Virginia. Here’s what he said:

"We actually do protect same-sex marriage in Virginia. That's the law in Virginia."

Marriage equality is absolutely not protected in Virginia’s constitution.

In fact, Democrats just tried to ensure that marriage rights are protected by repealing an odious amendment that was added to the Constitution of the Commonwealth in 2006, defining marriage as only “between one man and one woman.” That 2006 amendment was a deliberate effort to contradict marriage equality. This past Session, House Republicans killed our efforts to align Virginia with federal law and to ensure that the constitution reflects inclusive values.

When Glenn Youngkin told a national audience that we protect same-sex marriage in Virginia by law, he was either lying or he hasn’t bothered to read our constitution.

It’s time to put an end to the hateful agenda of the GOP. Our Senate majority is razor thin right now. We must do everything to ensure Republicans don’t take the single seat that’s standing in the way of a complete GOP takeover – my seat. Donate to my campaign right now.

We have to protect marriage equality and other critical inclusive values for Virginians because there’s no telling where the US Supreme Court is going next. Justice Clarence Thomas has explicitly stated the Supreme Court “should reconsider” its past rulings codifying rights to contraception access, same-sex relationships, and same-sex marriage. We ignore Thomas and other right-wing zealots at our own peril.

We must take action to codify marriage equality in Virginia’s constitution. Discrimination is discrimination. Period. Join me by supporting my campaign as I push back against Glenn’s radical alt-right agenda. Donate $9 right now.

Let’s do this,
