"Dark Money" ties raise questions for GOP Senator Ernst of Iowa
-Associated Press, 12/06/19
Friend,
News just broke that Joni Ernst's campaign may have broken the law:
Iowa Values, a so-called "non-profit" that is actually a GOP dark money group, may have illegally coordinated a $50,000 donation in support of Joni Ernst's re-election.
And a strategy memo obtained by the Associated Press makes it clear that Iowa Values plans to use the millions it is raising to mislead Iowa voters and build a "firewall" to stop a progressive Democrat like Eddie Mauro from defeating Joni Ernst.
We can't let them get away with it.
Now more than ever we need grassroots Democrats to stand with Eddie Mauro and fight back. Chip in $5 or more to our rapid response fund right now.

Look, we understand why Joni Ernst is desperate.
Not only is she's one of the most unpopular Republican senators in the country, but a new poll shows that her boss, Donald Trump, is down 12 points in Iowa too.
And those polls were taken before Eddie Mauro and this campaign went on television with an ad holding Joni accountable for glorifying guns and doing whatever Donald Trump and the special interests tell her to do.
It's never mattered more for us to elect a different kind of leader like Eddie Mauro -- one who has rejected all PAC money -- and who will be beholden to nobody but the people.
I hope we can count on you to stand with Eddie Mauro and get this campaign ready for whatever the other side throws at us next. Chip in $5 or more to our rapid response fund right now.
