Earlier this year, Congresswoman Plaskett became a founding member of the Congressional Caucus on Black Innovation (CCBI), a group committed to identifying and addressing the challenges that prevent Black innovators from equitable footing, competition, and autonomy.

Stacey believes that increasing opportunities for new ideas and new businesses helps ALL Americans and keeps America as the greatest innovator and change maker the world has ever known.

At Toronto’s Collision Conference this year, Stacey continued this important work by collaborating with the Black Innovation Alliance and discussing ways in which the public and private sector can partner together to support Black innovators.

Our country has an immense number of Black innovators, founders, and creatives, yet research shows that bias is still a factor that prevents many talented individuals from executing their most innovative ideas.
