Dear Freedom Fighter,

Our campaign to give voters the final say on whether illegal immigrants are deserving of Massachusetts driver’s licenses is generating a lot of attention – so much, in fact, that you’re no doubt aware of efforts by leftist agitators to disrupt signature drives. (If you haven't already done so, please visit www.fairandsecurema.com to sign up for updates and view signature drive locations)

Their goal is not only to convince passersby not to sign on to our referendum, but to also provoke a reaction from signature collectors and create a disturbance that could potentially interfere with the location’s business operations.

Because of that I am respectfully asking that signature collectors not engage with protesters in any way.

Instead, I am advising volunteers to contact police whenever there is an issue with protesters harassing signature collectors and potential signers. You should know that any attempts to intimidate or otherwise prevent individuals from signing on in support of our referendum are a violation of state civil rights laws.

Attached is a copy of a Massachusetts’ state advisory concerning the rights of petitioners to collect signatures in public areas.

Per the Commonwealth of Massachusetts:

Please advise signature collectors to carry a copy of the attached advisory with them. If and when a police presence is necessary to keep the peace, this advisory should be respectfully shared with officers, and a polite request should be made to relocate protesters away from signature collection volunteers.
