Dear John xxxxxx,
Our work on gun reform is far from over. In this week's plans and pans, I reflect on how far we have come, and how much further we have to go to keep guns out of the wrong hands. In addition, I provide updates on my consumer protection work and President Biden's executive order aimed at safeguarding abortion rights. I also discuss the important role community health centers play for our most vulnerable communities.
As always, my office is available to help with any matters involving federal agencies, and beyond. And please continue to be vigilant in the fight against COVID-19.
Sincerely,
National Suicide Prevention Lifeline
If you or someone you know is struggling, the 10-digit national suicide prevention number is 800-273-TALK. But, starting this Saturday, the lifeline number will change. As of Saturday, you can call or text 988 to reach the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. As always, the lifeline is confidential, free, and available 24/7/365. It’s available in English, Spanish, and over 150 interpreted languages.
The lifeline connects those experiencing a mental health, substance use, or suicidal crisis with trained crisis counselors. You can also use the lifeline if you are worried about a loved one who may need these types of crisis supports.
