A CLOSER LOOK—Health Information Technology

Yesterday, the US Food and Drug Administration announced the global launch of a new application, CURE ID. This internet-based repository will allow the clinical community to report their experiences treating difficult-to-treat infectious diseases with novel uses of existing FDA-approved drugs through a website or on a smartphone or other mobile device. A Health Affairs Blog post argues that as technological innovations for health care organization continue to expand, we need a health information agency.
