John –
Every day in America, 321 people are shot – including 22 children and teenagers. As a father, I'm heartbroken. As a senator, I'm sickened by our inaction. As an American, I am distraught that my colleagues watch our countrymen die every day and seem to be unbothered.
The bipartisan legislation that we passed through the Senate and President Biden signed into law just a couple of days ago marks an incredible step forward. And now, Republicans want to pat themselves on the back and call it a day. But when you're fighting to save lives and keep our children safe, you can't just call the job done when you're not even halfway through.
We still have to get military-style assault weapons off our streets and out of our communities. We still need to expand background checks for all gun purchases. We still have to raise the minimum age to purchase a gun. And we must still end the gun lobby's disgusting grip on power in Washington. These are straightforward, commonsense policies – and this type of legislation is broadly popular across our country.
There's real momentum for reform in Washington right now. While we celebrate this win, we can't let up the pressure for even a moment. So please, take action by adding your name to demand that Congress pass truly comprehensive gun violence reform. To hit our signature goal, I need another 93 folks to sign on before 11:59 p.m. Can I count on you?

The night after the tragic Uvalde shooting, I didn't sleep much. I couldn't shake the feelings of sorrow and anger. Frankly, it's getting harder and harder to sleep most nights, knowing that there is still so much left to do.
But here's the thing: I'd bet that the GOP senators blocking these reforms time and time again will sleep perfectly soundly tonight. In exchange for a fat check for their campaigns, these senators are happy to obstruct legislation that they know will save lives. It seems like the NRA's pocket is quite a comfortable place to be, and it's up to us to change that.
It's time we raise our voices, demand that these senators face the results of their actions – and finally kick them out of Washington. So please, will you sign on now to demand that Congress passes legislation to make America a safer place to raise a family, go to the grocery store, worship, and send our kids to school?

Thank you for your support on this.
The fight continues,
Tom
