As we go
into the weekend, I want you to really give some thought to what it
means to own the right to vote in this city.

I implore you not to
take it for granted. If you've ever thought your vote is just one in a
sea of ballots cast, you're wrong. Your. Vote. MATTERS. And in this
election, it matters more than ever.

Consider this: about 10% of
Houston's population voted in the November election. So far, numbers
have shown that less than 5% of Houston's population has voted in the
runoff election. Can you believe that?! Less than 5% of our population
is going to decide how the 4th largest city in the United States is
going to be managed!!! Budgets, personnel, infrastructure, our
community’s wellbeing—all decided by less than 5%. This election may
come down to a few hundred votes.

LET IT BE YOUR VOTE THAT MAKES THE
DIFFERENCE.
