On June 24, the U.S. Supreme Court took away the constitutional right to abortion, paving the way for states to ban abortion outright—a step that half of U.S. states are expected to take in the coming days and months. The Court's decision has left millions struggling to access the essential health care they need.

We urgently need a federal law that protects the right to abortion across the country. We need the Women's Health Protection Act (WHPA).

The House of Representatives first passed WHPA in September 2021, just weeks after Texas' 6-week abortion ban went into effect. Now that the Supreme Court has overturned Roe v. Wade, the House is once again taking up this essential legislation by having a vote this Friday.

Abortion is illegal in seven states and counting. If you're outraged, you're not alone. Turn your anger into action and tell Congress that we need WHPA.

In this devastating time for abortion rights, our elected officials must recommit their support for abortion access. WHPA brings us closer to a world where all people can make important decisions about their health, their lives, their families, and their futures.
