We are pleased to invite you to join us at a private screening of The Broken Promise, an independent feature-length documentary, on July 28 at 6:15 p.m. at the Landmark E Street Cinema in Washington, DC.

The Broken Promise explores the patterns of genocide, as well as the institutional failures that allow it to occur. With insights from genocide survivors and their children, lawmakers, scholars, and activists, The Broken Promise takes a hard look at humanity’s worst moments and the ways big business is complicit in allowing them to happen. The film shines a light on the ways we can oppose authoritarians and defend ourselves against these atrocities.

Please register here to be a guest, and RSVP by July 15 to attend the screening on July 28.

Congressman Jim McGovern, co-chair of the Tom Lantos Human Rights Commission, will give opening remarks. After the screening, audience members will have an opportunity to ask questions of people who appear in the film.

We believe the message of The Broken Promise has value to human rights leaders, academics, and policy makers that aligns with Freedom House's vision and values.

Please consider joining us at the screening in Washington, DC on July 28.
