John,

For 15 years, Maddy deLone’s leadership has made the Innocence Project a lifeline for the wrongfully convicted, an organization spearheading groundbreaking policy victories and educating our nation about the extent of the injustices faced by so many people as a result of a broken criminal justice system.

This January, Maddy will be leaving the Innocence Project and moving on to the next stage of her career. Words can’t describe our gratitude for her extraordinary leadership, her commitment to our clients and our team, and her vision for justice. We will all miss her.

Today we’re asking you, as a committed member of our community, to donate $15 to support the future of the Innocence Project ([link removed]) , in honor of Maddy’s 15 years leading our work to free the innocent.

Maddy has led the Innocence Project through a tremendous period of growth—building robust teams to free innocent people, support clients after exoneration, expand public understanding of the fallibility of the justice system, and change the law to identify, rectify and prevent wrongful convictions nationwide.

As the leader of the Innocence Project’s development team, I’ve had the privilege of working hand in hand with Maddy since the beginning. We’re going to miss her—but we’re excited about our future.

I hope you’ll help celebrate where we’ve been and where we’re going next with a contribution today in honor of Maddy’s commitment to justice. ([link removed])
Thank you,

Audrey Levitin
Director of Development and External Affairs

Started in 1992 as a legal clinic at Cardozo School of Law, the Innocence Project is now an independent nonprofit, affiliated with Cardozo, that exonerates the wrongly convicted through DNA testing and reforms the criminal justice system to prevent future injustice.
