Dear UMWA Activist,

It has been 30 years since the monumental strike against the Pittston Coal Company.

The UMWA is fortunate enough to have the most dedicated, active, and motivated membership in the entire labor movement. It is because of them, and the UMWA's strong leadership, the union prevailed.

In this video, Local Union 1569 member Lee Potter talks about the impact Cecil E. Roberts, the union's Vice President at the time, made during the 1989 Pittston Strike.
