We wish we could say this headline was exaggerating, John, but with this Trump Supreme Court, we just don't know.
At issue is the GOP's Independent State Legislature theory, a fringe idea that could nevertheless result in more gerrymandering, more voter suppression, and even allow state legislatures to refuse to certify valid election results (just like Ginni Thomas wanted).
Is it frightening? YES. Are we just going to sit back and let it happen? NO.
