The Wisconsin Supreme Court just ruled that most “ballot drop boxes aren't allowed in the state and that a voter can't have someone else return — in person — their completed absentee ballot on their behalf.”
This is a massive blow to voter access and narrows democracy by limiting participation.
My job as Secretary of State is to ensure that all eligible voters have access to voting. In Minnesota, especially during the pandemic and in more rural areas, ballot boxes have been a safe and secure way for people to use their voices in the democratic process. And they’ve enjoyed bipartisan support.
My opponent has publicly applauded the Wisconsin ruling - and if she wins in November she will work to restrict voting options around the state. We can’t let that happen.
