John,
I need to make sure you know just how hard CAGW is fighting for you and why our ongoing mission is so important.
Government waste is at an all-time high, and that means we must be more vigilant, more ambitious and more prepared than ever.
Taking on government waste in a year like this is no small task, but with you by our side, I know we can fulfill our mission.
I wanted to share a few of our wins so far in 2022 with you:
Defeating continued attempts at passing the Build Back Better Act.
Reforming the Postal Service.
On April 6, CCAGW celebrated the signing into law of H.R. 3076, the Postal Service Reform Act of 2022. For decades, we have been documenting the unsustainable business model and financial condition of the U.S. Postal Service, which has been on the Government Accountability Office’s High-Risk List since 2009.
The Postal Service Reform Act will codify an integrated delivery network of packages and mail along with six days a week service. The act also prevents the USPS from getting into financial services and other non-postal commercial businesses.
As a sign of our leadership on this issue, Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) read CCAGW’s February 28 letter of support into the Congressional Record during his floor speech backing H.R. 3076.
Helping to pass alcohol-to-go bills in Delaware and Maine.
Of course, we’ve still got plenty of work cut out for us.
The Biden Administration contributed $2.1 TRILLION to the national debt in its first year alone.
The fight against excessive government spending and overreach has never been more urgent.
That’s why I hope you will consider a generous tax-deductible gift to our mid-year Waste Watcher Fund campaign.
