A few less private jets took off from the Hamptons this morning, thanks to activists who blocked the entrance to the East Hampton Airport.

The private jets and helicopters that shuttle the ultra-rich around the globe are one of the many reasons the 1% cause double the emissions of the poorest 50%.

They are the ones destroying the planet. So they are the ones who need to pay for fixing it. That’s why we spent the entire weekend disrupting the vacations of the wealthiest of the wealthy to demand that they pay their fair share in taxes to support the investments we need to save the planet.

But transporting, feeding and housing the brave folks who came out to protest gets expensive and we still need to raise $3954 to cover our costs. Friend, if you want to see more actions like these, can you chip?

This is just the beginning. This weekend kicked off a new campaign to demand New York tax the rich to build green housing for all. We'll keep fighting until we win and we hope you'll be in the fight with us.
