Fight for $15

John,

A 7% pay bump. Vacation time. Benefits. Security and stability.

That's what 40 janitors at Coors Brewery got after they voted to unionize a few months ago. That's more time to spend with their families, more time to volunteer at church, and the ability to see a doctor. That's economic justice, plain and simple.

Today, nursing home workers in Michigan are on strike in protest of unfair labor practices and to demand they're respected, protected, and paid for the work they do -- work that became one of the most dangerous jobs in the country at the start of the pandemic. They're calling on leaders to make it easier for them to join together in a union and to make sure every nursing home is safe for residents and workers.

From nursing homes to fast-food, we know CEOs work to keep our wages low -- and corporations charge more for the things we need to survive -- all so they can make record profits. No wonder they try to use their power to block workers from coming together in unions: higher paid workers means lower paid CEOs.

Starbucks workers know it. Amazon workers know it. My coworkers at McDonald's know it. We all know the real life difference a union can make: higher wages, better benefits, and job security.

Beyond that, it's also about dignity and respect. Working people together -- Black, Latino, Asian, Indigenous, white -- are showing how powerful we are like never before: striking, winning strong contracts, and demanding a seat at the table with employers in states and cities across the country.

We know the rules are rigged against us and that it's harder to win a union than it should be, but when we come together at work and demand what we're due, nothing can stop us. Ready to win higher wages for you and your coworkers? Click here to learn how to get started >> [link removed]
