I am so proud every time Onward Together endorses another candidate for office. This organization was born out of the energy of the campaign we ran together in 2016, and these candidates are carrying that energy all the way to the ballot box.

Already this year, we’ve endorsed more than 50 candidates across the country. Some are running for re-election in tough districts, while others are running for the very first time. And some of the candidates we’re supporting are actually members of Team Hillary themselves, including:

- Nikki Budzinski, the Labor Outreach director on my 2016 campaign and a long-time advocate for working families, is running to represent the 13th district of Illinois in the House 
- Nabilah Islam, the Deputy Southern States finance director in 2016, is now the Democratic nominee for Georgia’s State Senate District 7
- Sara Jacobs, a policy advisor on my 2016 campaign and one of the youngest members of Congress, is running for re-election in the 53rd district of California 
- Haley Stevens, who worked in the policy shop during my 2008 campaign, is running for her third term as the Congresswoman for Michigan’s 11th district
