We’re holding bad actors accountable!

John,

We scored a big victory for transparency this week.

Issue One, along with our colleagues at the Campaign Legal Center, discovered that TV stations weren’t following the rules of disclosure around political ads. So we immediately jumped on them, filing complaints with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). And it worked!

This week, because of our complaint, the FCC hit these TV stations hard: they now have permanent marks on their record for failing to properly disclose political ad information.

We’re shining a light on improper activity and ensuring that those who don’t follow the rules of our campaign finance system face consequences. You’re a critical part of our victories. Help us to continue calling out bad actors and misconduct.

Disclosure is a critical feature of our democratic political system. That’s why, from fighting dark money to tackling foreign interference in our elections, Issue One works tirelessly for strong transparency measures.

Concrete victories like this one are helping to fix our broken political system. Our victory this week is just one of the many necessary steps on the road to restoring our democracy. Donate today to help us keep the momentum going.

Thank you for all you do,
