Hi friend,
I’m going to be in San Antonio tonight with Beto O’Rourke and Texas Democrats, showing my support for a candidate who I truly believe represents the change we all want to see in Texas.
I’m sick and tired of so many communities -- from school teachers and small businesses owners to BIPOC Texans, queer Texans, and Texans who rely on reproductive healthcare -- feeling unsafe in their home state.
The neo-fascist Republican lawmakers who currently run our state have caused so much harm to so many. And they sure as hell don’t represent us. But this November, we have an opportunity to change all that. To change the face of leadership in Texas.
Greg Abbott has actively made Texans lives harder in so many ways -- and that’s especially true for our state’s electric grid. As we gather today to help elect a new Governor in Texas, we’re staring down yet another potential disaster created by Greg Abbott. Alongside millions of Texans across the state who are worried about another grid failure as temperatures rise, we’re making changes to this event to adhere to energy conservation guidelines. Texans deserve better.
We want those who aren’t able to join us to be a part of this night as well, so one lucky person who makes a contribution today to the Texas Democrats’ statewide campaign will be receiving a call from me! Don’t miss this chance to get involved!

friend, I love Texas. So much of my family still lives here, and it’s such a core part of who I am. I won’t rest until Texas is the state of promise and progress I know it can be.
I hope you’ll join this movement.
Thank you for everything,
