Dear John,

As a wildlife conservationist, I'm passionate about doing all I can to help ensure that endangered species, like tigers, survive. I just can't imagine a world without these beautiful animals, can you?

In the last 100 years, rampant poaching and habitat destruction caused tiger populations to decline dramatically. Today, experts think there are more tigers in captivity than in the wild.

But this is why I am hopeful.

With enough space, prey, protection, and community stewardship, tiger populations can increase. That's exactly what we're seeing in India. The Brahmaputra Landscape in northeast India has been a priority site for WWF for more than 15 years. It's home to the world's second highest density of tigers in the wild! Our efforts to save tigers in this area are succeeding. We know what to do to bring them back.

But it takes a team to save tigers -- and we need YOU to join our team.

Here's how you can help, John.

The Brahmaputra Landscape is such an important area for large mammal conservation. In addition to being home to about 162 tigers, it's also home to 2,285 greater one-horned rhinos and more than 3,850 Asian elephants.

This region is also home to 15 million people. Wildlife and people are jostling for space and resources. That's why people-centered tiger conservation is at the heart of our work to protect these amazing cats -- so that we can save tigers in partnership with people who live near them, for the benefit of their livelihoods, culture, and traditions.

It takes a team of people -- scientists, local communities, government officials, and people like you -- to protect the wildlife here and strengthen nature-friendly and sustainable livelihood opportunities for the people who live near them. When you join our tiger team, you will help tigers in the Brahmaputra Landscape thrive.

John, every dollar you donate will be matched -- and will help save tigers.
