Friend: As I send this, Robert Mueller is finishing his testimony on Capitol Hill about his findings regarding Russian interference into the 2016 elections—and Donald Trump’s potential involvement in that interference.

But here’s the bigger picture: We have still not resolved many of the vulnerabilities that left us open to interference in 2016. And Donald Trump has not taken steps to meet or even acknowledge this challenge.

It’s absolutely critical that in 2020, we elect leaders who will take these threats to our democracy seriously—and as our next President, I plan to meet them head on. Chip in to help me build the campaign that can win in 2020:

Mueller’s testimony is important, but it is not sufficient.

I’m here to say: we need to think bigger than that. Securing our elections and rehabilitating our democracy won’t happen in one five-hour hearing. It has to be a long-term, sustained, unending effort—which, yes, starts with making Donald a one-term president in November 2020.

Chip in to help make it happen.

Thank you,
John
