Dear friend,
Today, FAMM is re-launching the #VisitAPrison challenge! With your help, we are going to challenge policymakers at every level of government to visit a prison or jail in their area.
You can challenge your representatives to #VisitAPrison right now: [link removed] [[link removed]]
For years, families have been telling us, "If our elected leaders or their loved ones spent any time in prison and met the people or saw the conditions, they would see we need reform." We agree!
Three years ago today, we started the #VisitAPrison challenge to encourage the people who write and enforce our nation’s sentencing and prison policies — lawmakers, judges, and prosecutors — to visit a prison. The arrival of COVID-19 ended the challenge early, but today we are back.
Help us tell our elected leaders, "You can't know if you don't go." Tell them to visit a prison or jail and learn more about how excessive sentences and poor prison conditions are hurting families and making communities less safe: [link removed] [[link removed]]
Thank you!
Best,

P.S. We are going to keep track of which policymakers accept the challenge. Find this and other information about the #VisitAPrison challenge at www.visitaprison.org [[link removed]] .
