Things don’t look hopeful for Democrats.
• Historically, the president’s party loses House seats during the midterm elections … but, since we only control the House Majority by 4 votes, we can’t afford to lose any seats!
• To make matters worse, MORE THAN 30 House Democrats have decided to retire rather than run for reelection.
• And to top it all off, we’ve missed multiple fundraising goals, which means we’re in danger of not having enough resources to defend all of those open seats! Meanwhile, with the amount of money Republicans have raised, they’re talking about the possibility of a 70-seat landslide in November.
But despite all these challenges, now is not the time to lose hope, John!! As our fearless leader Speaker Nancy Pelosi said: “Forget history — we’re talking about future.”
