John – A.G. Holder has it right: We have to stay in the fight for fair maps!

Holder graphic with quote: We know Republican operatives now view redistricting as an every-cycle fight, and we can't afford to let their plans to manipulate the playing field go unchallenged.

If you agree, will you pitch in right now to help us keep up our fight in the long-term? >> [link removed]

Here are just a few of the things we can accomplish with your grassroots support:

1. Build On State-of-the-Art Mapping Capabilities

In several states where litigation is pending – including NDRC targets like North Carolina, Ohio, Texas, and others – it’s possible that new maps will need to be drawn before the 2024 elections. So we’re investing in new technologies, data, and mapping innovations to make sure we’re prepared.

2. Double Down on Redistricting Reforms

In 2018 and 2020, we helped pass groundbreaking redistricting reforms in states like Colorado and Michigan that were instrumental in stopping the GOP from gerrymandering in those places. Moving forward, we plan to build on these successes to achieve bold reforms in even more states.

3. Target Elections Key to Redistricting

All over the country, the GOP is ramping up their efforts to target races, including state court elections, in an effort to elect judges and other officials they believe will rubber stamp gerrymandered maps. That means we need to prepare for the long term by electing pro-democracy leaders.

The good news is our work in 2018 and 2020 made a big difference for Democrats running for state-level offices. In Pennsylvania, Kansas, and Wisconsin, Democratic governors who we supported ended up vetoing manipulated maps. And this year, we’re targeting even more races in 17 states that will have a big impact on the future of redistricting.
