With Brutal Crackdown, Iran is Convulsed by Worst Unrest in 40 Years
Iran is experiencing its deadliest political unrest since the Islamic Revolution 40 years ago, with at least 200 people killed – and possibly hundreds more – as angry protests have been smothered in a government crackdown of unbridled force. It began two weeks ago with an abrupt increase of at least 50 percent in gasoline prices. Within 72 hours, outraged demonstrators in cities large and small were calling for an end to the Islamic Republic’s government and the downfall of its leaders. In many places, security forces responded by opening fire on unarmed protestors, largely unemployed or low-income young men between the ages of 19 to 26, according to witness accounts and the videos. The Iranian regime has long prioritized foreign aggression over the well-being of its people. In the face
of crippling U.S. sanctions, the regime has resorted to spiking oil prices at home while still investing more than $7 billion in terror abroad.

Israel Struck by Over 2,600 Rockets and Mortars Over Past Two Years
According to the numbers released by the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), more than 2,600 rockets and mortars have been fired over the past two years from Hamas-run Gaza Strip and from Syria. Over half were in the last year alone. While almost every year since Hamas took control of the Gaza Strip in 2007 the number of rockets fired toward Israel was in triple digits, 2018 has seen the most serious peak of violence between Israel and Palestinian terrorist groups in Gaza since the end of Operation Protective Edge in 2014. Urge your senators to support a bipartisan bill that works to cut the flow of resources to Palestinian terrorist groups seeking Israel’s destruction.

Hezbollah is Using Germany as an Operational Hub for Sponsoring Terror
Hezbollah is using Germany as a major hub for its activities in Europe. The German news outlet, Tagesspiegel, reported that Hezbollah’s operations in Europe included drug trafficking, with the ports of Rotterdam, Antwerp and Hamburg serving as key entry points in the EU. The group also engages in money laundering, recruitment and fundraising. The revenue is directed to Lebanon to fund attacks and arms procurement. Overall, some 1,050 Hezbollah members and supporters are known to reside in Germany, the report says, with around 250 of them living in Berlin. About 30 mosques and cultural centers in the country are known to have ties with the group. Hezbollah is an Iranian terrorist proxy that receives $800 million annually from Iran. The group has killed more Americans than any other
terrorist group except for Al-Qaida.

Israeli Scientists Discover Molecule that Destroys Pancreatic Cancer Cells
Israeli breakthrough study shows a 90 percent reduction of pancreatic cancer cells in mice after treatment with a molecule named PJ34. The molecule, developed at Tel Aviv University, can cause cancer cells to self-destruct, according to an Israeli study recently published in the biomedical journal Oncotarget. Professor Malka Cohen-Armon and her team at Tel Aviv University’s Sackler Faculty of Medicine did their experiment using xenografts — transplantations of human pancreatic cancer into mice. PJ34 originally was developed to treat stroke, but it has been found to have a powerful effect on human cancer cells. The molecule causes something to go wrong during cell duplication, leading to rapid cell death.
