Hey there, it’s Megan – Maura’s Finance Director.

If you’ve been reading our emails lately, you know that our campaign is beginning to rapidly grow our organizing and volunteer program. That’s because to protect crucial rights, get rising costs under control, and deliver for Massachusetts families, we need to do the work of investing in grassroots organizing across our state.

I just ran our fundraising numbers for the past week, and the math is simple. 7% doesn’t sound like much, but that’s the increase we need from our grassroots digital fundraising program (supporters like you!) before our first volunteer weekend of action on July 16th.

If we can hit that benchmark, we can make sure that we have the supplies and organizers we need to run a powerful statewide organizing operation. I’m meeting with Maura and our Field Director first thing in the morning to talk through the results, so I’m asking this grassroots team to help me close the gap before then.

We can get to that 7% increase in two ways: if a fraction of our supporters chip in a few extra dollars, and some supporters who don’t usually donate can help out, we’ll hit our goal. Will you be the one to invest in the organizing program we need to win this election and protect Massachusetts families?

Let me pull back the curtain a bit and share why these fundraising benchmarks are so important. Our team is dedicated to reaching voters all over the state to ensure their voices are heard and represented in our campaign. From Worcester to Woburn, from New Bedford to North Adams – we aren’t taking any communities for granted.

A campaign of this scale isn’t cheap, but it’s the right thing to do. To maintain a steady budget that can cover the costs of mailers, volunteer training, and everything in between, our team needs to carefully budget and build projections for how much we think we’ll bring in and spend.

With your help, we can crush our goals, continue building a volunteer-led, statewide campaign, and elect a governor who we can count on to protect our state and our residents. Can you help us get to our 7% goal?
