Roe v Wade is gone. That means abortion rights are now solely in the hands of
the states. Thankfully, Montana has abortion rights written into our state
constitution. But with Republicans in power, we have no reason to believe that
will remain the case.

Governor Gianforte has made his intentions clear that he wants to ban
abortions in Montana. Those intentions will very soon become reality if we
can’t prevent the GOP from gaining a supermajority capable of changing the
constitution in November.That makes what the Montana Democratic Legislative
Campaign Committee does to support state-level Democrats so important. And it’s
why the Montana Democratic Party is teaming up with them.

we can protect abortion rights in Montana?

States with abortion rights on the books or at least those states who aren’t
actively restricting it, are now the safe haven for women who need reproductive
healthcare and abortion access. Montana is now the only state in the Mountain
West where women can receive a safe, legal abortion.

In these dark times, our state must continue to be a beacon of hope, but
without your help, we will fail to stop a supermajority and the right to
abortion will be stripped from our constitution.
