Hi John,
I could not be more proud than to announce that at a time when bodily autonomy and the right to privacy have stripped from Missourians, Pro-Choice Missouri has entrusted me with their endorsement.
I received word of that endorsement Friday evening, then later that day had an amazing experience. Students for Spencer, a group of several hundred Missourians in their teens and twenties, held a Pro-Choice rally, and it was awesome!

Throughout the evening, young adults stepped into the circle to make their voices heard. We heard from a 16-year-old who was sexually assaulted by her father at age 7 and raped by a man at age 14. We heard from a woman who had an abortion a year ago last Independence Day, the day she ended a relationship in which she survived regular sexual assault. They spoke of what it feels like to have your rights stripped away; in the case of that 16-year-old, before she even had the right to vote.

These are the people whose stories are not brought up in Pro-Life discussions. These are the people who live in fear in a society that lacks empathy and love. These are the people with whom we stand to rise up and to ensure that no one faces such trauma again.
No one should be denied healthcare because of the religious and political beliefs of others who want to control their bodies.
When I got home last night, I thought about how unfair our society has become and, for many, how unfair it has always been. NO ONE should have to share their personal stories with the hope that maybe - just maybe - the politicians who are supposed to protect us will do their jobs.
The endorsement of Pro-Choice Missouri is meaningful. It acknowledges the work we are doing to elevate the voices of people who have been disenfranchised. And, when I reflect on today, the thing that I will cherish most is that the young adults working with this campaign created a platform to address this injustice, where people received comfort and support from a community of peers, and where we made our voices heard.
There are 24 days until the Primary on August 2, and I have never been more confident about what we will achieve together.
In Solidarity,
Spencer

CNN calls this OPEN Senate seat likely to flip but noted it would take more than money. Mitch McConnell agrees: we’ll be in trouble if we don’t run the candidate voters know and trust.
That’s why we’re helping Missourians at any chance we can before Spencer’s even elected
