Team, there are many reasons why I was proud to join John’s ticket in this race. 

From the moment I met John, it was clear that his authenticity, honesty, and commitment to serving others was unlike anyone I had met before. And on the issues, his progressive and comprehensive solutions to the challenges we face (especially when it comes to LGBTQ+ rights, protecting the right to choose, and racial equity everywhere from the classroom to affordable housing) are unlike anyone else in this race. 

And now, I get to add another reason to be proud of this ticket: despite being in the top tier of the polls, we have the lowest median donation in the primary, showing that we truly have grassroots supporters pushing us to the finish line!

This makes it clear: while our establishment opponents depend on massive corporate checks and millionaire supporters, we depend on folks like you, friend. If you have a moment, can you show your support for our grassroots ticket?

We’re in this for our fellow Marylanders, and it’s clear from our endorsements by Pro-Choice MD Action, Sierra Club MD, and more that we are the progressive grassroots ticket in this race. We are ready to build a state government that acts as a transformative force for good and to serve this state the best we can. However, we can’t become the next Democratic Governor and Lt. Governor of Maryland without your help!
