Hey JOHN –

I wanted to reach out and send you a quick note while I'm on the road to meet voters in Pinellas County.

We're just about a week past celebrating the Fourth of July, and I thought this would be a good time to check in with you. As a former national security official, the Fourth of July was always a very special time for me and my family. I know what it means to serve this country, and I also know that so many of our Pinellas County neighbors have risked their lives to protect our freedom.

That's why it pains me to say that I am more concerned than ever about the rise in domestic terrorism, hate speech, polarization, and political distrust in our country. Unfortunately, Republicans like my opponent, Anna Paulina Luna, continue to fuel these flames.

The truth is, a future where Republicans take over Congress will set us back and delay progress years. That's why it's more important than ever to be engaged in the upcoming elections.

Be loud about the Democratic policies we're fighting for: good-paying jobs, affordable education, accessible healthcare, environmental protections, and a government that helps everyone – not just those who have money and power.
