Washington Democrats are saying the quiet part out loud.
In a recent CNN interview, after Biden claimed that gas prices will remain at current levels for “as long as it takes,” White House economist Brian Deese had some telling words for Americans struggling to afford record-high gas prices:
|
Now it makes sense! You’re paying higher prices at the pump so that liberals can consolidate their power and maintain their control. Republicans have been saying this since day one of Biden’s war on American energy.
If Americans can’t afford to fill up their tanks or heat their homes, by comparison, the costs of “green new deal” policies go down.
When “green new deal” policies are enacted, the federal government will have unprecedented control over every single aspect of our economy, bringing us a step closer to full-throated socialism.
A socialist economy is bound to fail, and when it does, Washington Democrats will claim that the only way to make things better is to hand more of our power, rights, and paychecks over to them. Then, the cycle starts all over again.
Meanwhile, the cost of everyday goods continues to rise, the value of your paycheck continues to fall, and the freedoms we hold dear are slowly being chipped away, one burdensome new regulation at a time.
This is the liberal world (dis)order Washington Democrats are trying to protect. Not the constitution, not the American people, not the values we hold dear. Instead, they’re protecting high gas prices and runaway inflation, because it gives them what they want most – control.

More than two years after the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the World Health Organization (WHO) has finally acknowledged that a leak from a U.S. taxpayer-funded animal lab in Wuhan, China, may have unleashed COVID-19 on the world. In its June 2022 report, the WHO stated that the "lab leak hypothesis" merited "further investigations."
It's about time.
Let's rewind. For years, leading scientists—as well as intelligence experts, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation—have raised the possibility that dangerous coronavirus gain-of-function experiments involving bats and humanized mice, funded by Anthony Fauci's white coats at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, accidentally spread the virus from inside the Wuhan Institute of Virology. This theory was written off as "disinformation" by the left-wing media, social media outlets, and Fauci himself.
After the WHO's report, those who fought for proper acknowledgement of the lab leak theory can't help but feel vindicated...

I love celebrating July 4th, Independence Day! Quite frankly, I’m not sure why I love it so much. Maybe it’s because I love parades or maybe it’s because I love this country so much - the greatest country this world has ever known that has given me the opportunity to live the American Dream. Whatever the reason, I just know I love celebrating July 4th, especially in South and Coastal Georgia. As always, the celebrations in the First District this year were numerous. On June 25th, as I reported in my last column, I joined in the Freedom Rings parade in Rincon. It was a prelude, if you will, to July 4th.
|
On Friday of last week, I was in Screven in Wayne County as this small town braved the threatening weather and celebrated with the music of a group of local musicians, Second Chance, followed by fireworks. Small town America never looked so good!
|
On Saturday night, I was at J F Gregory Park in Richmond Hill where I joined thousands of people enjoying the music of the Swinging Medallions followed by fireworks.
|
And on July 4th, as has become my custom in the First District, I celebrated Independence Day with the “Saints of the First District.” I began my day in Saint Marys in Camden County where they always have a great parade, before heading to Saint George in Charlton County for a great lunch and community celebration and finally ended up on Saint Simons Island in Glynn County for their famous golf cart parade. Needless to say, it was a great week of celebrations!

By the time I got home late Monday night on July 4th, I had heard the horrific news of seven people being killed in Highland Park, Illinois, at their Independence Day celebration. I felt like someone had punched me in the gut. As I reported in last week’s column, during the Freedom Rings parade in Rincon on June 25th, a crazed driver had sped through our parade weaving in and out of parade participants. Only by the grace of God was no one killed. What is happening in our country when a crazed person starts shooting at unprotected, innocent people out celebrating our country’s birthday? What is happening in our country when a crazed driver of an SUV uses it as a weapon and plows through a parade of unprotected, innocent people out celebrating our freedom? I may never know the answers to these questions; but, I do know this: there is evil in this world. We saw the worst of it with the tragedies in Buffalo, NY, Uvalde, TX, and Highland Park, IL. We caught a glimpse of it right here in Rincon, GA. I also know that our country, the greatest country ever, was founded by those who believed in God and built this country on the foundation of that belief in God. I will not stop loving July 4th. I will not stop celebrating Independence Day. Evil has always been present in our country and in our world. Good has always overcome evil and today will be no different. We are a nation built on the foundation of our trust in God. That is what has sustained us as a country and what will continue to sustain us. Our God is good! Our God is Great! God Bless America!
