Over the course of U.S. history, many great leaders have preceded me at my desk in the Senate.

They fought for civil rights, labor justice, and to lift Americans out of poverty. They were former presidential and vice presidential candidates. There was even one singing cowboy.

Many great leaders sat at my desk before me and I know there are many more to come -- but that depends on our engagement. In 2020, we have the opportunity to elect more great leaders to fill the halls of Congress and fight for health care, equality, and the Dignity of Work, but we need to give them our support now, so they can win next year.
