A PERSONAL NOTE
Â
Things sure have changed, haven't they?
I think it's really important to find happiness and gratitude in small
things. I love that I have this nice little garden just outside my
kitchen door. It's like a lush, green oasis here in the city. I like to
keep the blind on that door open so I can see it. I also find comfort in
that 65-gallon barrel of water out there that nobody realizes is water.
The weather here is hot and humid so sitting outside isn't as pleasant
as it is most times. I sit out on my patio to drink coffee in the
morning and to watch the moon for a while in the evening before I go to
bed. The complex where I live is generally pretty quiet, so it's a
peaceful moment of solitude even in the midst of all these people.
Thor injured his leg last week. I moved his food and water closer to his
bed so he could get to it without walking far. It appears to have been a
pulled muscle or a sprain. After a week of rest, he's doing a lot better
and no longer limping as long as we keep our trips outside fairly short.
I think he'll be as good as new in another week.
I keep telling him, "Getting older is tough, buddy."
And I speak from experience. I was doing great with my 75 Hard challenge
and then not quite a month in, I herniated discs in my lower back at the
gym. Much to my dismay, I had to stop the challenge because I had to
take a break for healing. That was NOT on my agenda.
I've been spending the downtime organizing preps and inventorying and
seeing what else I might need before things get even tougher to acquire.
I'm doing some "spring cleaning" in midsummer while I'm at it.
Have a wonderful day and a great week!

WHAT I'M READING, WATCHING, AND LISTENING TO
I'm not going to lie: the news just seems to be one awful thing after
another. So I check in daily to keep informed but don't spend hours and
hours pouring over current events like I used to. Here are some of the
things I read/watched this week.

LET'S GET ON A CALL TOGETHER
I've been having an awesome time getting to know some of you guys on
Zoom calls. If you missed it, I'm now booking half-hour
and full-hour
conversations to help people get prepped more efficiently.
Why did I decide to do this?
Well, for less than the price of another prepping course or series of
books, I can drill down and give people the specific information that
they need to get better prepped in their own unique situations. A lot of
us feel like time is running out and we need to focus on specifics, not
generals. I have prepped in many different settings across 5 countries
and I have a lot of information to share. Plus, how cool is it to put a
face to the screen names?
If you are interested, book today. I'm doing an introductory offer that
saves you anywhere from $50-100.
To book a half-hour for $75, go here
.
To book a full hour for $125, go here
.
After today the price goes up to $125 and $225 respectively.
