The Supreme Court’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade was the result of a decades-long campaign by Republicans to strip Americans of the right to choose. Here are some of the things the DNC is working on to fight back:

✅ Channeling national grassroots energy: The DNC hosted a national volunteer strategy call with Vice President Harris, made tens of thousands of calls to support voter registration efforts, and kicked off a national volunteer text campaign following the decision.

✅ Investing year round in every state: Through its “Red State Fund,” the DNC is providing support to state Democratic parties in traditionally Republican states -- a number of which have trigger bans designed to take effect when Roe was overturned, and DNC funding provides a critical baseline for supporting Democratic leaders in their fight back.

✅ Protecting state-level Democrats on the front lines: The DNC is investing millions in protecting Democratic governors and state legislative majorities that will act as barriers to potential GOP efforts to pass abortion bans.

✅ Paid media and voter registration: The DNC is redoubling its efforts to communicate with voters, build relationships, and turn folks out to vote this year and in the coming years through ads and voter registration and education programs.
