John,
The Iran nuclear deal talks resumed last week in Doha but unfortunately have come to another standstill. As Iran's nuclear program grows to a critical threshold, and Biden allows Trump's sanctions to continue harming ordinary Iranians and undermining chances for peace, it is clear we must sound the alarm to not just salvage the nuclear deal but to prevent a new push for military action.
Fortunately, the NIAC team has been hard at work urging legislators to advance legislation that supports diplomacy and pushes back against military escalation. Next week, the House of Representatives may vote on several amendments aimed at clarifying no authorization for war exists, requiring a humanitarian assessment of U.S. sanctions and ensuring that sanctions do not deprive ordinary Iranians of vital communications tools. Also, last month, we were among 15 organizations who underscored that it’s Biden’s responsibility to fulfill his campaign commitment to restoring the Iran nuclear deal.
We are committed to holding the Biden administration accountable for their actions, or lack thereof. Our work, though, is powered by contributions from supporters like you. Can we count on your support to help us push the Iran nuclear deal across the finish line? [[link removed]]

We need strong will and courage to clear the remaining hurdles and reach the finish line. But, you can trust that we will continue to advocate for Iranian Americans and everyone who seeks peace between the U.S. and Iran. Little by little, we will make progress together.
Thank you for your continued support,
Ryan Costello
