My name is Bill Toole and I’m running for Lt. Governor as a proud progressive Democratic.
Instead of marinating in Raleigh's political circles, I’ve been dedicated to serving local communities and electing progressive Democrats across North Carolina.

Earlier this year, I resigned my law practice partnership in Charlotte where I focused on environmental and business issues for over 30 years. I feel compelled to run for Lt. Governor because our party and our state needs new leadership – leaders who won’t apologize for being a pragmatic progressive .

We need leaders who will be bold and will present big ideas for our state’s future.

Most candidates want to talk in platitudes, but I’m not most candidates. During this campaign, you’ll hear me talking about issues that impact the daily lives of our citizens - taking care of aging parents; helping teens struggling with depression; making public school education the best; and providing a public health insurance option so healthcare is more accessible and affordable for all.

It’s time to put some major policy proposals forward that’ll help working families for generations.
