Have you heard about Brittany Ramos DeBarros?
She began organizing with GGJ member organization, About Face, after nearly
being court-martialed by the U.S. Army for SPEAKING TRUTH TO POWER [5], and
last week she got arrested on the steps of the Supreme Court defending
abortion rights.
Brittany’s running for Congress to represent Staten Island and South
Brooklyn, New York — to replace a Trumpist Republican incumbent and to
fight back a status quo Democrat challenger. Her victory would be
groundbreaking and demonstrate the broad demand for leaders grounded in a
vision for economic justice, care, jobs, climate justice, and housing for
all.
I’d like to introduce her to you, personally, at a special meet and greet

Brittany is fearless and bold, navigating her own trauma while calling out

Comenzó a organizar con About Face, una organización miembro de GGJ,
después de casi enfrentarse a un tribunal militar del Ejército de EE. UU.
por DECIR LA VERDAD FRENTE AL PODER [5], y la semana pasada la arrestaron
en las escaleras de la Corte Suprema defendiendo el derecho al aborto.
Brittany se ha presentado como candidata al Congreso, representando Staten
Island y el Sur de Brooklyn, Nueva York — para reemplazar a la
republicana trumpista que ocupa ahora ese cargo y enfrentándose a un rival
demócrata pro-status quo. Su victoria sería un nuevo precedente y
