We’re delighted that attempts to introduce assisted suicide in the UK have failed once again. Elderly, infirm, sick and disabled people should be cared for, not pushed into taking their own life.

Christians benefit from the wonderful protections for freedom of speech and religion available to all in the UK. But we cannot take them for granted. Please pray for our work on:

• The Online Safety Bill. This proposes to clamp down on legal content deemed to be ‘harmful’. In practice, the Bill legitimises censorship of biblical views by ‘Big Tech’.
• The proposed ‘conversion therapy’ ban. Faithful preaching, gentle prayer and much-needed pastoral care would all be caught by this ill-thought-through ban. Even parents encouraging their kids to be happy with their God-given bodies are at risk.
