Bernie Sanders endorses Becca Balint

Huge news: This week, Senator Bernie Sanders endorsed Becca Balint for Congress in the Vermont seat Bernie once held! This strongly Democratic seat is open for the first time since 2006, when Bernie left it to run for Senate.

Announcing his endorsement, Bernie said: “In Becca's years as a State Senator she has been a voice for rural Vermonters and proved again and again that she is a champion for the working class… I know that Becca will continue the tradition of fighting for working people and our fundamental rights as our next Member of Congress.”

Early voting in Vermont just started for the August 9 primary. Please chip in to Becca Balint’s campaign here.

Becca Balint is facing off against a corporate Democrat whose donor base is filled with lobbyists for defense contractors, Big Pharma, and Big Tech. Meanwhile, Becca hasn’t taken a penny from corporate donors. Bernie is endorsing Becca precisely because she will stand up to Wall Street lobbyists funding her opponent.

We can’t let this seat go to a more conservative Democrat — especially with a golden opportunity to elect a progressive leader like Becca who will fight for Medicare for All, a Green New Deal, corporate accountability, pro-worker policies, reproductive justice, and so much more.

We need you with us to win on August 9. Chip in to Becca Balint’s campaign here to prove what progressives can do when we build our power together.

Thanks for being a bold progressive.
