County Fair Season
July kicks off the start of county fairs across Kansas and I'm excited to see what this season has in store for communities in the Big First District. One of my favorite parts of the county fair season is getting to watch students showcase their agricultural skills. I look back fondly on my days of showing livestock when I was a kid. Those experiences helped instill in me a deep love and respect for our agricultural producers and taught me invaluable life skills that I have used ever since.
What are you looking forward to most at your local county fair? Share your favorite fair memories or events with me here:
Upcoming County fairs in the Big First District:

Fall Internship Applications Are Open!
I'm excited to offer internships to college-age students this fall in my Manhattan, Dodge City, and Washington D.C. offices. My first job on Capitol Hill was as an intern, and it's my privilege to offer the same experience to students today. Working in a congressional office is a unique opportunity for students to learn about the impacts of public policy, the role congressional offices play in helping constituents on a daily basis, and the importance of our elected bodies.

The deadline to submit applications for the Fall 2022 semester is Friday, August 8, 2022. Applications are reviewed on a first-come basis.

Questions? Contact my Washington D.C. office at 202-22-2715.
