Thank you for supporting my campaign to #FireToddYoung. Since I announced my candidacy for Senate, I've traveled across Indiana listening to Hoosiers who are fired up and ready to win in November. Whether it's saving women's reproductive rights, securing our communities with common-sense gun safety measures, or saving our democracy, I'm here to deliver results. But we have some work to do, and I certainly can't win without your help. So let's get energized, mobilized, and take back Indiana's Senate seat.

'Overturned' by Lindsey McDermott |
A Message From Lindsey McDermott:
I know it’s has been a tough couple of weeks for all of us—especially women who live in states where abortion is no longer legal or severely restricted. With Roe v. Wade overturned, Indiana seems poised to be next up to restrict a woman's ability to make her own healthcare decisions.
I’m furious and my dad is too. It's yet another example of what happens when people in power are completely disconnected from the way that life really is in America. No one should have the power to take away my right to make my own medical decisions — ever. |
"It's extreme! The government wants to play 'Big Brother.' They want to come into my home, my bedroom and dictate what I can do with my body." — Lindsey McDermott |
My dad and I have a lot to say, as you’ll see in our video. It may remind you of some of the conversations you’ve been having with your family and loved ones. But it’s not enough for us to just talk about it. We need to take action, and that’s exactly what my dad has always done as mayor and will do as Indiana’s U.S. Senator. |

McDermott's Response to the SCOTUS's
Decision to Overturn Roe V Wade |
|
|
|
"The Supreme Court overruled Roe v. Wade today, and frankly, I am horrified. Over the last 50 years, folks across our country, including over 3.1 million Hoosier women, had autonomy over their reproductive health — and now they have fewer rights than women in 1973..."

Big Dem Weekend: State Convention |
Last month, the Indiana Democratic Party formally nominated a slate of candidates to win statewide in Indiana, with Mayor McDermott at the top of the ticket.
On Friday, June 17th, Mayor McDermott introduced the "Ragin’ Cajun," a.k.a legendary Democratic strategist James Carville at the annual Hoosier Hospitality Dinner. The following day the mayor attended all nine Congressional District meetings firing up fellow Hoosier Democrats across the state with the promise to #FireToddYoung.
On the final day of the State Convention, Mayor McDermott addressed delegates and outlined his plan to defeat Todd Young in November and to support the Democratic ticket. |
"Mayors don't have the privilege of complaining and doing nothing...A Mayor's job is to fix problems and accomplish things to make a city better...I do this every day and will continue to do so as your Senator." -Tom McDermott |
