Hello Friends,
This morning SHARK President Steve Hindi flew a drone to view the cages at the infamous Envigo where beagles (pictured below) have suffered and died for years.
Steve hoped to film empty cages, instead, he saw the pitiful faces of hundreds and hundreds of beagles (pictured below) and heard their desperate cries.
On July 1, The Department of Justice (DOJ), The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) and Envigo jointly filed a transfer plan of approximately 4,000 of the facility's beagles to HSUS to arrange for their adoption. On July 5, U.S. Federal Judge Norman Moon signed the plan for their release. Read below:
Thousands of dogs rescued from Virginia breeding facility could soon be sent to shelters for adoption
However, as of today, it does not appear any action has been taken to remove these suffering dogs from this hellhole.
Why is that? Why isn't HSUS, the largest animal protection organization in the world, moving faster to rescue these suffering and dying dogs? They have been given oversight of the largest laboratory rescue of animals and they are failing the animals!
This is what happens with a big corporate organization that is more concerned about donations than taking immediate action to save lives!
HSUS should have staff onsite ensuring proper care of these dogs (pictured below) while they await their rescue.
SHARK demands HSUS immediately start transferring these distressed dogs out without further delay!
Failure to do so will result in a SHARK drone team filming these tortured dogs at Envigo every single day to let the world know what is and isn't going on.
These dying beagles should not spend another day in those horrid conditions!
Please call HSUS and demand answers today on when the beagles will be freed at: 866-720-2676.
Our many trips to document this cruelty, as well as all of the other animal cruelty SHARK documents nationwide, are expensive.
SHARK can't continue without your support. Please donate here.
