Today, the House committee investigating Jan 6th is continuing its interviews of people within Donald Trump's inner circle.

As a reminder, Kevin McCarthy refused to cooperate with investigators. Instead, he went on Fox News this week to brag about his chances of becoming Speaker. He also doubled down on his promise to strip Democrats like Adam Schiff of committee assignments as punishment.

That's right, John.

In McCarthy's House, legislators who want accountability on Jan 6th will be punished. Extremists like Marjorie Taylor Greene and Lauren Boebert, who push QAnon lies and racism, will be elevated and celebrated.

It's shameful, but as The Atlantic put it, it's the "parasitic suck-ups who indulged Trump" who could be running the show in Congress if we don't step up:
