Hi folks,

For too many people in this country, the South is synonymous with Republican leadership. But to me, that couldn’t be further from the truth. I’m a Democrat because of my southern values, not in spite of them.

Growing up in Alabama, I learned the importance of loving my neighbors, honoring my roots, and standing up for what I believe in. Those lessons stuck with me, and they guide me every single day in Congress.

I continue the fight for reproductive freedom because my neighbors deserve to have their rights protected.

I advocate as hard as I can to protect the right to vote to honor the men and women who came before me to secure them.

And I refuse to back down from this fight for our district because I believe in our future.

I’m up against my first GOP opponent in a decade, and I refuse to allow all of Alabama to be swallowed up by far-right radicals who twist southern values to hold us all back from progress.
